1. Winx's Farewell (2019)

The legendary racehorse Winx capped off her incredible career at Royal Randwick on April 13, 2019, by winning the Queen Elizabeth Stakes for a record third time. This was her 33rd consecutive victory and her 25th Group 1 win, cementing her status as one of the greatest racehorses of all time. The atmosphere was electric, with tens of thousands of fans cheering her on.

2. The First Running of "The Everest" (2017)

In 2017, Royal Randwick hosted the inaugural The Everest, which has become the richest feature race in the world with a prize pool of over $15 million. This event revolutionised Australian horse racing, attracting top sprinters from around the globe. The first-ever winner was Redzel, trained by Peter & Paul Snowden.

3. Carbine’s Record-Breaking Sydney Cup (1889)

One of Australia's greatest racehorses, Carbine, made history at Randwick in 1889 by winning the Sydney Cup despite carrying a whopping 10st 5lb (66 kg). He was so dominant that he later won the 1890 Melbourne Cup under 66.5 kg, inspiring the breeding of legendary horses like Phar Lap. His legacy still influences global horse racing today.
