Crypto Price Markets.
These are markets on the price of a cryptocurrency. They are not a way to deposit, withdraw, trade or pay with crypto. You are betting on where a price sits at a set time. Prices and lines are quoted in US dollars unless a market states otherwise. Your stake and any payout are in Australian dollars. Bet Right does not accept cryptocurrency as payment and does not hold, buy or sell it on your behalf.
Bet Right offers these markets under a contingency declared under section 167 of the Racing and Wagering Act 2024, and is licensed and overseen by the Northern Territory Wagering Commission. Settlement uses an independent source approved by the Commission. That approval is what separates a licensed Australian market from an offshore site.

How these markets work
Every market has three published parts before you bet: the target price, the settlement time, and the source the settlement rate is read from. Nothing about the result is decided by Bet Right. At the settlement time the rate is read from the approved source and the market pays out against the target price.
- Over wins if the settlement rate is above the target price.
- Under wins if the settlement rate is below the target price.
- What happens if the rate lands exactly on the target price, or if the source does not publish, is covered in the rules. See how settlement works.
Is this legal in Australia?
Yes, for a licensed operator holding a declared contingency for the event. Most crypto betting sites an Australian sees in search results are offshore and are not licensed here. The difference is not cosmetic: it determines who holds your funds, which complaints body hears a dispute, and whether the settlement source has been approved by a regulator at all. Checking a settled market
Recently settled markets show their target price, settlement rate, source and timestamp, so a result can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Common questions
Can I pay with Bitcoin?
No. Deposits and withdrawals are in Australian dollars through the usual methods. Crypto is the subject of the market, not a payment method.
Do I need a wallet or an exchange account?
No. You never hold the asset. You are betting on where its price sits at a stated time.
Which assets can I bet on?
Bitcoin and Ethereum. These are the two assets Bet Right offers crypto price markets on.
When do these markets settle?
Markets are offered over a range of durations, starting from 15 minutes. Settlement happens shortly after a market closes. The settlement time is shown on every market before you bet.
