This dominant win, followed by his Doomben Cup triumph with 66 kg, cemented his reputation as one of the most powerful and resilient racehorses in history.

2. The First Ever Doomben Cup (1933)

The Doomben Cup, one of Queensland’s premier staying races, was first run in 1933. Over the decades, it has become one of Australia’s most prestigious Group 1 middle-distance races, attracting some of the best stayers in the country. Champions like Might And Power (1998) and Rough Habit (1991-92) have won the Cup, using it as a stepping stone to greater success.
