In the 2025 edition, the race was won by Lady Shenandoah, trained by Chris Waller. Lady Shenandoah replicated her victory in the Light Fingers Stakes, defeating Lady Of Camelot in a thrilling finish. This victory further cemented her status as one of Australia's top three-year-old fillies and added to the sophisticated reputation of the Surround Stakes.
