What is a Top Two Finish bet?
A Top Two Finish bet is a single market where you back a runner to finish first or second in its race. If your runner finishes 1st or 2nd you win at the quoted fixed odds. Bet Right's Top Two Finish markets refund if your horse is scratched, with the dead-heat rule applying.
What does "Without the Favourite" mean?
Without the Favourite (sometimes called Without Favourite or W/O) is a separate market run alongside the standard Win market, with the favourite removed. You're picking the best of the rest. If the favourite still wins the race, the runner that finishes highest among the remaining field is paid as the winner of the Without the Favourite market.
What is a Match Bet?
A Match Bet pits two nominated runners against each other in the same race. It doesn't matter where they finish in the broader field — only which of the two beats the other across the line. If one of the two is scratched, the market is usually refunded.
Do scratchings affect racing specials?
It depends on the market. Some specials refund scratched runners with no deductions, others apply Best of the Rest rules, and some All In specials don't refund at all. Always read the rule line above each market on this page — for example Bet Right's Top Two Finish markets state "Refund If Horse Is Scratched, Deductions Do Not Apply".
What's the difference between racing specials and racing futures?
